Ayan Kundu wins Gold & Silver in National Karate Championship 2018

Ayan Kundu, a young karate trainee of Bali Deshabandhu Club, has recently shone brightly in National  Karate Championship 2018, organized by Sports Karate Association of India. It was held at New Digha on 25-28 May.
About 350 Kartatekas from 13 States took part in the contest.
Ayan Kundu has won a Gold Medal and a Silver Medal in two different contests in Senior Category during the Championship.
A meritorious student of Belur Ramkrshna Mission HS & a B.Tech from Modern Institute of Engineering & Technology (Bandel), Ayan has sacrificed the cushion of job and financial security of life to venture into Karate. Initially, he faced lots of criticism and negative vibes from people around him, but he kept up his determination and worked really hard to achieve his dream of being a successful sportsman.
Inspired since many years by the indefatigable fighter MS Dhoni, Ayan Kundu devotes his time to gym training and constant practice.
In this regard, he was fortunate that he got good support from his parents Narayan & Jharna Kundu &  brother Arpan Kundu.
Ayan Kundu has won the Karate contests due to his devotion, hard work & sincerity, informed his mentor, Shankar Banerjee
Other Karate instructors (shown in the pic.) who support Ayan Kundu and wish him success include Rajesh Mondal and Partha Pratim Mukherjee.
Ayan Kundu aims to persevere and continue to shine and represent India in international circuit.                                                                   -Hello Kolkata Network
