The 5th of June 2018 was a momentous day for the members of BNI DREAMZ, a key chapter of world’s leading business networking organization BNI. The chapter organised World Environment Day with members planting over hundreds of tree and plant saplings in the Lions Safari Park, situated at Rabindra Sarobar Lakes in Southern Avenue opp Vivekananda Park .
The timings of the activity was from 7am to 8 am morning.
Members of the Dreamz chapter along with members of other BNI chapters and also members of the general public, came forward & marched around the path in the park, carrying placards that highlighted awareness about the importance of having a safe & clean environment. They also took a pledge to safeguard the environment.
BNI has its 'Go Green' initiative, that has members turning green by garnering points through their multiple networking activities. The green members are recognized as the best performing individual in their chapters.
The regional team members of BNI CBDA Kolkata Region, comprising of Shri Bimal Samal amongst others were present to support the unique initiative of the members of Dreamz chapter.
The BNI Dreamz President, Sourav Bhandari expressed his happiness over the voluntary participation of so many members on the momentous occasion. He added that the chapter i.e BNI Dreamz will strive to undertake many more of such activities that creates awareness and brings benefits to the environment, we depend upon for our survival.
