3rd edition of the IDBI Federal Life Insurance Kolkata Full Marathon

Over 15,000 runners took to the streets of the City of Joy to participate in the 3^rd edition of the IDBI Federal Life Insurance Kolkata Full Marathon on Sunday, 3^rd February, 2019. In order to motivate and encourage the runners, cricketing legend and Brand Ambassador of IDBI Federal Life Insurance, Sachin Tendulkar flagged off all the races from the iconic Salt Lake Stadium. 

This year in association with the Medical Partner, Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals Kolkata, 50 cancer survivors ran for 500 meters and this special race was flagged off by Sachin Tendulkar. Along with him, other runners and family members were cheering and motivating these determined survivors to #KeepMoving. While on the other side we saw runners from the corporate sector, amateur runners and professional runners competing against each other. 

Over 15,000 runners participated in the IDBI Federal Kolkata Full Marathon 2019, which offered a total prize money of Rs 6 lakhs. The winners were felicitated by Sachin Tendulkar, Brand Ambassador of IDBI Federal Life Insurance. 

Taking to the starting line at 4:30am, the Full Marathoners set off along the picturesque route which was followed by the commencement of the Half Marathon race at 6:00 am. The Timed 10K race was flagged off at 7:30 am and the most awaited 5K Fun Run started at 8:15am.

Male – Full Marathon: 1^st position Tlanding Wahlang (02:35:42); 2^nd position Surat Raj Subba (02:40:22), 3^rd position Fulningstar Nonglang (02:41:58)

Female – Full Marathon: 1^st position Anjali Saraogi (03:16:54); 2^nd position Samiksha Rai (04:04:40); 3^rd position Rashmi Somani (04:15:24)

Male – Half Marathon: 1^st position Mukesh Singh Bhandari (01:08:50.16); 2^nd position Deepak Singh Rawat (01:08:50.74), 3^rd position Batsrang A Sangma (01:09:49) 

Female – Half Marathon: 1^st position Jyoti Singh (01:23:31); 2^nd position Dateibankynmaw Marwei (01:39:08); 3^rd position Tshering Lamu Bhutia (01:45:48)
