A Festive Magazine (for Sarodiya & Diwali), by "Mukhya Barta" was released during a socio-cultural welfare program at 'The Ramakrishna Society - Anath Bhandar' (an orphanage) near Creek Row. The program was organised by "Adya Ma Seva Samity", a reputed social service organisation.
Narayan Majumdar, Editor of 'Mukhya Barta', delivered the keynote speech in the event.
"Mukhya Barta" & "Adya Ma Seva Samiti" disseminated love and affection amongst the orphans who were handed over food items and other necessary articles.
Social activist Gauranga Mondal from Bongaon received a special felicitation for his outstanding social welfare activities.
Internationally renowned musical geniuses Sarod Baba and Gayaki Mata were also felicitated.
Eminent poet Dr. Sujata Chatterjee inaugurated the program with recitation from her own book of poems.
A host of dignitaries had graced the occasion to lend support to the endeavour. They included Dilip Chatterjee (Chief Reporter of NNS). Tarun Sen (Secretary of CPDHR), intellectuals Dipa Das, Chitta Das, Sanjeet Karmakar, Chinmayi Biswas, Papri Das, Dr. Sushim Majumdar, social workers Jhantu Dolui, Sudip Das, Jayanta Das and others.
